Vigilance officials on Wednesday arrested Headmaster Dani Nag of the Karlamuhan UGME School under Tarva block in Subarnapur district for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 40,000.
The Headmaster had demanded the bribe from one laxmikanta Kheti of Thikadarpada village in Balangir district to provide a job to his nephew in the Bhubaneswar Railway Workshop. The complainant alleged that Nag assured him to provide a job to his nephew Balasya Mahakur in the Bhubaneswar Railway Workshop by influencing the higher railway authorities. Kheti reported the matter to vigilance, following which a trap was laid and Nag was caught red-handed.
