The Bonei Block Education Officer (BEO) has put Braghat UGUP School headmaster lalit Mohan Majhi under suspension for his alleged ill behaviour to a lady gana shiksak (GS) of the school.
Source said on October 12, 2012 while the lady GS was in a girls’ hostel, Majhi called her to his room and tried to make advances. Somehow, the victim had been able to release her from Majhi’s clutch and later, informed about the incident to the school managing committee (SMC), some local villagers and higher authorities at the block level but no action was taken against Majhi. While a month back, the Sundargarh Collector was on a tour to Banei for a public hearing, the victim had brought the matter to his notice. Immediately, the Collector had instructed the BEO to inquire into the matter and take appropriate action against the culprit.
