PNS

Heavy rain and gusty wind affected the normal life of denizens of Paralakhemundi on Thursday.

All the areas of the city were submerged in rainwater. The roads were also flooded with the rainwater. Trees were uprooted due to the gusty wind. A hundred-year-old tree in front of the Parala Sanskrit College came down crashing on the main road disrupting traffic.

Electricity supply was also stopped due to the rain and lightning.

Rainwater flooded Subash Nagar of Ward-1, where people had to walk in knee-deep water. People of this area were the worst sufferers.

The Paralakhemundi Municipality launched a drive to clear the roads.
