In a shocking incident, a case has been registered against the Headmaster of Chandili High School under Kotapad block in the district on the charge of sexually assaulting a Class-X girl student.
Sources said Headmaster Debendra Baidya of the Chandili High School had gone to the house of the student and, finding no one in the house except her, he tried to sexually assault the student.
However, as the girl screamed for help, her mother rushed home and the Headmaster fled from the spot. After the girl informed her parents about the incident, they immediately went to the police station and filed an FIR.
A case has been registered by the police under Sections 448 and 354 of IPC against the Headmaster and a manhunt has been launched to trace him.
