Members of the Odisha High Court Bar Association would resume work from Monday. A decision to this effect was taken following the grant of bail to former Advocate General Asok Mohanty by the Khordha District and Sessions Court on Friday.

Members of other bars, who joined their HC colleagues in strike from Thursday, also ended their stir and resume work from Saturday.

The HC lawyers were on a cease-work stir since Wednesday protesting against the CBI’s arrest of Mohanty .

Bar Association vice-president Biren Shankar Tripathy said, “Since bail has been granted to Asok Mohanty, we will be joining work from Monday as Saturday is a holiday in the HC.” He, however, added that the association would hold a meeting on Saturday at 10.30 am to discuss the issue.
