The 85th appearance day of ISKCON Guru Sri Srimad Gour Gobinda Swami and the 30th Vyasapuja festival were inaugurated at the ISKCON temple here on Tuesday. The festival will continue till Wednesday.
After Gurupuja and Puspanjali programmes, 85 numbers of lamps were lighted in the memory of Gour Gobinda Swami on the occasion. Besides, a Vyasapuja book was inaugurated by American devotee HH Murali Krishna Swami Maharaj.
The programme witnessed glorification and Abhishek programme of Maharaj followed by Arati. Nearly 5,000 devotees were present and took Prasad. The second session began with Guru Vandana and glorification programme in the evening. Besides, there is a prize distribution programme for the students, who had participated in the Krishna competition held in Janmastami, on Wednesday.
