The Utkal Bikash Yuba Parishad organised a Rabindra Sangeet evening and felicitated Green Nobel winner Prafulla Samantara. Rabindra Sangeeet presented by noted singer Sona Karmakar enthralled the whole audience.
Former Minister Bishwabhushan Harichandan gracing the occasion said Samantara has brought laurels to the State by winning the prestigious award. Former Minister Panchanan Kanungo expressed unhappiness saying that the State Government terms Samantara’s feat as its defeat. Among others, Samantara, singer Arjun Charan Samal, Adhyapak Bishwaranjan, columnist Tusharkant, ‘Subarta’ editor Prdyumna Satpathy, Hindustan Petroleum Odisha chief Anantram Mohapatra and Parishad president Debi Prasad Prushti were present. The programme presided over by lecturer Ajay Parida was coordinated by Geetanjali Swain, Manoranjan Nayak and Er lipik Choudhury.
