A programme on ‘Groundwork of parents on Preschool’, organised by the SFDC at 26 Angawadi centres in Mohana block to mark the Grandparents’ Day celebrations starting from October 1, concluded on Tuesday.
At the valedictory ceremony, which was attended by large numbers of children, parents, grandparents and Anganwadi workers of Pindiki and Merapali gram panchayats, Subash Pani spoke on the significance of the day and said that grandparents had quality time, knowledge, values and experience which would help their grandchildren become mentally strong. The programme focused on pre-school, where kids can learn valuable life lessons. Chief guest Pindiki High School Management Committee President Sudhakara Nayak spoke on the importance of guidance by grandparents for the development of children.
