Malad gram panchayat under Ganjam block organised Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan at Malad village here on the occasion of the Panchayati Raj Divas on Sunday.
As a part of the campaign, a meeting of farmers and villagers was held on the occasion with BJP senior leader Sanatan Behera presiding over the event.
BJP leader Rama Chandra Panda inaugurated the campaign and highlighted various pro-people and pro-farmers welfare schemes like the Krushi Sinchan Yojana and Krushi Vima Yojana initiated by the Prime Minister for economic prosperity of the rural mass in general and the farmers in particular. He urged upon the farmers to take advantage of the above ambitious welfare schemes of the Union Government.
BJP leaders Manu Mahapatra, Satrughna Mahankud, Badal Behera, Ananda Rao, Kankeya Reddy, Kabi Mahapatra, among others, joined the campaign. More than a thousand farmers of Malad gram panchayat and its adjoining areas participated in the campaign. The Abhiyan received overwhelming response from the farmers.
