G'pati Nagarik panel meet held

PNS

The Gajapati district Nagarik Committee organised a general meeting here on Thursday. Committee vice-president Bharat Bhushan Mohanty chaired the meeting.

Though 20 members were present on the occasion, no decision was taken.

The meeting discussed development of railway station, launch of new trains, solution of traffic problems and construction of a new Jagannath temple. Senior citizens, educationists and intellectuals were present at the meet. Restriction on journalists entering into the meet raised eyebrows.

Committee general meeting is held two times in a year, informed committee secretary Surya Narayan Patnaik.

Nagarik Committee president and former MP Gopinath Gajapati Narayan Deb was absent on the occasion.
