The district BJP unit here alleged that the State Government by twisting the guidelines of the Central Government on selection of beneficiaries for food security has inflated the number of the beneficiaries. With this the genuine beneficiaries would be deprived of the scheme, alleged district unit president of the party MM Dutta. He alleged the Centre has set 8-point criteria to select the beneficiaries, yet the State Government without considering the Census of 2011conducted the survey on the previous Census only to favour the ruling BJD party workers and supporters. Dutta warned the party would take to the streets over the issue.
