To ensure smooth conduct of the Plus-II examinations scheduled to begin from March 2, officials of the State Government and the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) on Tuesday discussed in detail about security of question papers and incident-free examinations. The meeting convened by the Higher Education Department stressed on pre-examination preparations, management of examination hubs and evaluation centres among other pertinent issues concerning the conduct of the annual intermediate examination.
Finally, the experts suggested that EMHs be set up within 20-km radius of the colleges. Around 203 such hubs have been choosen in the State to manage exams. Besides CCTV surveillance, the hubs would be guarded by police round the clock.
According to the standard operating procedure (SOP) issued by the department, the question papers would be sent to all examination management hubs (EMH) two days prior to the examinations from where they would be sent to the respective colleges between 6 am and 9 am on the examination day.
After the question papers are received at the colleges, the centre superintendent will open them in the presence of the invigilator and observer 15 minutes before the test. A two-tier security measure comprising police and district administration has been planned for the Plus II examination. The question papers would be kept under CCTV surveillance with round the clock police monitoring in all the hubs in the State.
