The State Government on Wednesday ordered for confiscation of all properties of the Hi-Tech Group earlier seized in connection with the land scam case against it.
The Finance Department in compliance with the recommendation of the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Crime Branch police ordered attachment of seized properties that include the Hi-Tech Medical and Dental Colleges, the Hi-Tech Group’s corporate office at Sahid Nagar, Bhubaneswar, and several project lands belonging to the group in the Sundarpada area on the city outskirts.
The total value of these assets is estimated to be over Rs100 crore.
In another development, Rs63 crore deposited by the group with the Supreme Court for availing bail for group chairman Tirupati Panigrahi has been transferred to the Designated Court, Cuttack, which deals with chit fund cases.
