The State Government misled the Governor in placing the Special Report of lokpal in the Vedanta case in the State Assembly, alleged trade unionist Dwarika Mohan Misra at a Press meet here on Thursday.
He said the Government neither implemented the recommendations of the lokpal submitted on March 17, 2010 nor obeyed the Governor’s order given on August 23, 2011 in placing the report in the Assembly in time according to the lokpal Act.
After getting special report from the lokpal, the Governor had sent the report to the competent authority to place it before the Assembly, but the Government didn’t give any answer first. After getting repeated orders, the Chief Minister replied as the matter was pending in the Supreme Court and it should have adverse impact to place the explanatory memo, Misra said.
