local goons, suspected to have been engaged by a mafia to settle score with Ashta Hotel owner Santosh Kedia, vandalised the hotel in the wee hours on Sunday.
The unknown persons alleged to be in a drunken state asked for a room but upped their ante when denied accommodation because of full occupancy. They asked the manager to instantly call the owner.
By the time the owner along with his son arrived at the hotel, the front door of the hotel was damaged and the miscreants fled the spot.
later, the police on being informed about the incident arrived and started an investigation.
One miscreant from the Power House Road is believed to be involved and police have strengthened patrolling to nab the culprits. The Plant Site police have registered a case.
