On the birthday of Lord Balabhadra or Balaram, a Gomata Pujan (worship of mother cow) and Raksha Bandhan programme was held on Sunday at the Ma Sarla Go Seva Ashram (Monastery) at Ananta Kalki Ashram in Tarini Gada near Paradip.
On the day, hundreds of cows were worshiped by the ashram devotees. The event was held under the guidance of Baba Ramesh Chandra Das (Baya Baba) of Kalki Ashram with a peace procession. The programme was coordinated by Narayan Sahu, Advisor ,Kalki Ashram, Sulekh Raut, Sevayat Devi Prasad Das, Pradeep Barik, Dr Prasanna Kumar Samal, Dhritidhar Das, Karmajit Jena, Chinmay Das, Amin Sahu and Shri Loknath Contractor Federation president Dhirendra Kumar Samal and secretary Chittaranjan Choudhury among others.
