The BJP SC and ST Morcha Ganjam unit submitted a memorandum to the Governor on Monday through the district Collector regarding protection SC and ST people’s rights.
BJP MlAs Rabi Narayan Nayak and Govind Das and other MlAs of opposition parties has been staging a dharna in the State Assembly from May 11.
As the State Government is not taking any action, the BJP has intensified the stir in various districts of the State.
Their demands include a 38-per cent reservation in Government jobs, admission to schools and colleges and in all other sectors.
led by BJP SC Morcha district unit president Chaitana Pradhan and BJP ST district unit president Rajesh Kumar Majhi, hundreds of BJP members held a procession and submitted the memorandum.
BJP district president Kahnu Charan Pati and other leaders were present.
