The Sundargarh police arrested three persons, including two women, on Tuesday and forwarded them to court for trafficking two poor girls to Hyderabad.
They had allegedly lured the girls on the pretext of giving employment. Sources said Nimi(19) and Rina(20) of Upparbahal under Khatkurbahal Panchayat were told by their neighbour Marselene Sooy(22), a married woman, that she could arrange for them good job if they would move to Rourkela.
Nimi and Rina, lured by sugar-coated talks of Sooy, left their home on Monday without telling their parents. As per previous arrangement, one Arsit Burh(33),whom the girls call uncle, a resident of Kutra, Girjapara in Sundargarh district, first received the girls and took them to his house. On Tuesday, he took both the girls to Kutra bus stand.
While they were waiting at the bus stand for bus to Rourkela, some youths suspecting the trio informed the Kutra police. When police reached the spot, Burh fled the spot. later, Burh, his wife Sushree and Sooy were arrested by the police basing on the statement of the two girls.
Burh confessed that as per their plan he was taking both the girls to Rourkela and thereafter he was planning to take them to Hyderabad to engage them as maid servants there.
