The Rupsa police in Baleswar district have registered a case under Section 354A of IPC after a 22-year-old girl complained that she was sexually exploited by a man for years with a promise of marriage.
The accused, Bikash Pattnaik, and his family members, are trying to eliminate the girl when she forced him to fulfil his commitment, the victim mentioned in her FIR. The accused belongs to a political and influential family in the Rupsa area, where both his parents are active in politics. His mother is currently working as ZP member (BJD) and the father was in the same position during the previous term and presently holds a key post in the ruling party.
She alleged that Bikash’s parents and her own family members know about the relationship. Several meeting too were held in the village regarding the issue, but that proved futile.
Now, Bikash is trying to kill her by hiring goons, she alleged in her FIR.
