The Kendrapada Town police recently solemnized wedding of two lovers.

Vivekananda alleged that one Dipak Gochhayat of Balagandi and his friends were the kidnappers.
As a result, the Town Police registered a case under Section 363 and 34 of IPC and started an inquiry. Police on Thursday evening rescued the kidnapped girl and also nabbed Dipak and brought the duo to the police station.
later, police recorded the statement of the kidnapped girl under 161 CrPC .The girl in her statement told the police that she was in love with Dipak for which she had gone with Dipak . As she was a major girl and she has every right to take her own decision, so she wanted to marry Dipak.
The police later informed to the family members of the girl and the boy about their decision. Both the family members came to the police station. The girl requested the IIC to solemnize her marriage with Dipak. The girl’s parents were unhappy with the marriage and left the police station whereas Dipak’s parents agreed to accept Jhili as their daughter-in-law.
Both garlanded each other and assured to remain as husband and wife till their last breath, said police. “I have asked the newly wed couple for registering marriage at a local court,” said the IIC.
