An eight-year-old girl died as a 108 Ambulance failed to reach her village on Wednesday.
According to reports, Gunt, daughter of Deb Bindhani of village Tarabeda under the Jharigam police limits in Nabarangpur district was suffering from fever for the past three days.
As her condition became critical on Wednesday morning, her relatives called the 108 Ambulance service, but the vehicle could not reach the village due to the wretched condition of the village road.
Finding no other way out, the girl’s relatives had to take her to a hospital by a hired auto-rickshaw, but it was too late as the doctor declared her brought dead.
