In a shocking incident, a four-year-old girl was kidnapped by a woman in Jhianka Sahi under the Banpur police station in the district who had lent her father Prasant Sahu Rs 15,000.
Even after a year, Prasant failed to repay the loan. Infuriated over this the woman identified as labani Sahu decided to take some drastic move to get her money back.
When Prasnat’s daughter was on her way to the local Anganwadi Centre on Friday, labani abducted her and locked her in a room. When the girl did not return home, her family members frantically searched for her and found her in the custody of labani, who threatened to kill the girl if Prasant did not repay her loan, sources said.
Finding no other way out, the girl’s family paid the money and got her released from labani’s captivity. later, they lodged a complaint against the woman with police.
