The much-awaited ‘Ghata Paribartan’ (soul transfer) report of the inquiry conducted into alleged irregularities in transfer of Ghatas (souls) to new idols during the Nabakalebar Yatra 2015 would not be made public.
The report was presented before the Jagannath Temple Managing Committee that met under chairmanship Gajapati Dibyasingha Deb here on Thursday. Committee members unanimously decided not to make the report public as it is the top secret matter of the Shree Jagannath Temple. Even, contents or a part of contents of the report would not be supplied through Right to Information Acts (RTI), said Shree Jagannath Temple Administration Chief Administrator Pradipta Mohapatra.
He said the Amicus Curiae has sought more information on the temple in a letter to him. He said the Amicus Curiae has stood by the hereditary right of servitors and has asked them to write undertakings for timely conduct of rituals. They would also not be allowed to chew Gutkha or tobacco inside the temple. The SJTA would fix rates of different cooked dishes in the Nrusingha Mandira on a sample basis. Later, prices of Mahaprasad would finalised considering expenditure, informed Mohapatra
The queue system for devotees to enter the temple would be made compulsory from October 1, for which the SP has been requested to make necessary arrangements, said Mohapatra.
