The neglect of the country cows is responsible for many disasters the country is now facing.
To spread awareness about the positive impact of the rearing of country cows, an International Gau Navaratra Mahotsav would be held for the first time in Odisha from October 20 to 29 in Puri, informed the National Gau Navaratra Mahotsav Samiti here on Monday. nPuri Govardhan Peeth Shankaracharya Nischalananda Saraswati would inaugurate the festival in which various types of Yajna would be performed. A souvenir ‘Gau-Amrutdhara’ would also be unveiled during the Mahotsav. More than 20,000 Gau supporters are expected to participate in the festival.
