Hapless Sunita Kumari Pradhan of Kumarada village under the K Nuagaon police circle along with her younger daughter and injured father met the Brahmapur Superintendent of Police to lodge FIR here on Wednesday demanding stern action against her in-laws for giving her mental torture.
According to Sunita, after the recent death of her husband, her father-in-law Brundaban Pradhan, elder sister in law Tanmaya Pradhan, brother-in-law Mahendra Pradhan and the mother in law maltreated her causing severe mental trauma for her and for her family.
She also alleged that, on July 26 when her father was returning home from Bomkei, he was reportedly attacked on the way by her in-laws as a result of which, her father was admitted in the local MKCG Medical College Hospital for treatment. She also alleged that, her father in law and sister in law reportedly made a well planned conspiracy to eliminate her by slow-poisoning.
After knowing their conspiracy, Sunita reportedly came to her father’s house to save her life, she alleged.
Sunita also alleged that, there is a nexus between K Nuagaon Police and the accused as a result the police were trying to suppress the truth.
Lawyer Srikanta Padhi, who was present with the victim at the time of lodging the FIR before the SP, also demanded before the Brahmapur SP to take stringent action against the accused and give justice to the victim.
After hearing everything from Sunita, the Brahmapur SP reportedly instructed the SDPO, Chikiti to conduct an impartial probe in to the matter.
