Going beyond the call of his duty, Ganjam district Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange rescued a road accident victim at Marudi Chhak in the Seragada area of the district on Sunday morning.
The Collector was returning from a programme by a car when he saw a youth in a critically injured condition after a motorcycle driven by the victim was hit by an auto-rickshaw.
The bureaucrat alighted from his car and took the victim to the Hinjili Government Hospital in his vehicle for treatment.
Kulange’s exemplary act has won accolades from many. Notably, he has also done such humanitarian acts in the past.
