The District Congress Committee, Ganjam has decided to hold protest meetings at Panchayat level against alleged the failures of the BJD Government and communalism of the BJP across the district.
A meeting presided over by DCC president Dr Trinath Behera and attended by 69 zone presidents took a decision in this regard on Wednesday.
“The BJD Government has failed to establish industries and provide water to agriculture fields. As a result, a large number of youths have gone to Surat to earn living. The Odisha Utsav attended by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has disrespected migrant workers only,” said leaders.
A discussion was also held regarding PCC president Niranjan Patnaik’s scheduled Ganjam visit in January. Among others, Pitabasa Panda, Bhokali Sethi, Manoj Jena, Swarupa Tripathy, Anil Parida, Nrusingha Mihsra, Dharma Raju Reddy and Parshuram Sahu were present.
