SP Asish Singh on Saturday directed all IICs of Ganjam and Brahmpur police districts to prepare lists of accused persons, jail returnees and dacoits so that police action can be expatiated.
Singh issued this direction while reviewing police actions against criminals in the two districts here on Saturday. He also directed the IICs to intensify police patrolling in their respective areas.
Singh expressed satisfaction over performances of five IICs in the Ganja police district and five IICs in the Brahmapur police district and said the two district have been emerged first and second, respectively, in the State in nabbing criminals and controlling criminal actitivities. The SP further informed that as many as 15 persons have been arrested in the Chhatrapur laxmidutta murder case and six in the Digapahandi Kureshu Gauda killing. He said 461 cases have been disposed of at the police station level.
ASPs Ajay Pratap Swain and Pradeep Kumar Mohapatra, all DSPs, CDO and IICs were present at the review meeting.
