Keeping sequel to the State BJP’s demand, its Ganjam district president Bijay Kumar Swain on Saturday urged the Election Commission to scrutinise all the telephonic conversation, including administrative orders, of senior IAS officer V Kartikeyan Pandian soon so that his alleged role in promoting electoral prospects of the BJD could be established.
Recently, the BJP had lodged a written complaint against Pandian, Chief Minister’s Private Secretary, before Chief Electoral Officer Mona Sharma alleging that he flouted the model code of conduct by acting as poll manager of the ruling BJD.
“I urge the Election Commission to scrutinise Pandian’s entire conversations with different officials and BJD leaders in his cell phones during last one month so that his reported role in promoting electoral prospects for the ruling BJD can be established,” Swain, also the BJP candidate for Digapahandi Assembly seat said.Swain demanded that a thorough probe into the matter be conducted so that public confidence on the bureaucrats and their accountability can be restored.
