The District legal Services Authority (DlSA), Ganjam provided assistance of Rs 1 lakh to the acid attack victim of Gangpur village under the Badagad police station in Ganjam district on Friday.
DlSA Secretary Prabhat Kumar Rajguru handed a check of the said amount to the victim’s mother at the MKCG Medical College here in the presence of Dr Charan Kumar Panda, who was treating the girl. Rajguru said Rs 3 lakh more would be given to the victim at a later date.
later, the victim was shifted to the SCB Medical College Hospital in Cuttack for better treatment, informed MKCG Manager BN Sahoo. She had been provided medicines free of cost at the MKCG, sources said.
Notably, some miscreants had attacked the minor daughter of Pandab Bisoyi while she was sleeping in her house on September 3 nights. Two of the accused have been arrested so far.
