Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Sanjay Dasburma reviewed the preparation progress for implementation of the Food Security Act in south Odisha here on Tuesday.This was the last phase review for implementation of the Act in 10 districts coming under the Southern Revenue Division by September 30 this year, Dasburma told reporters after the meeting.
The officials were directed not to leave out any deserving consumer from the list. “The officials are working tirelessly to make the FSA list flawless,” he added.The Minister said the beneficiaries would be issued cards to get facilities under the FSA. Total 3.26 crore people (80 per cent from rural areas and 60 per cent from urban areas) from Odisha would get benefits out of the scheme, he informed.Besides, SC and ST Development Minister lalbihari Himirika and Higher Education Minister Dr Pradeep Panigrahy were present in the review meeting.Among others, Brahmapur MlA Ramesh Chandra Chyau Patnaik, FS&CS Secretary Madhusudan Padhi, Secretary Saswat Mishra and district Collectors of concerned 10 districts were present.
