A scam worth Rs 11.5 lakh in supply of food and water to stray animals like cows and dogs during lockdown in the Bargarh Municipality has surfaced.
The municipality issued tender for supply food to stray cows and dogs to one organisation but it did not do much to come to rescue of the stray bovines and dogs on streets and by preparing false records, the money was bungled.
In this regard lawyer Santosh Kumar Dash sought information through RTI Act from the municipality on August 19. Although there is a provision to give information with in 30 days of the filing of the application, but it was not done.
