A pleasant cloud-cast sky pulled citizens of the capital city in large numbers to the stretch of Janpath to start their weekend engagement in the popular weekly Path Utsav on Sunday.
As the World Population Day is scheduled on July 11, support organisations of the Path Utsav held a lot of awareness activities on the subject. A Humara Buchpan team organised awareness against open defecation and for waste segregation management. It also held an interactive session with citizens through a quiz competition. The PECUC too organised a programme on the World Population Day.
The OWB and the WISH conducted magic and game shows and general awareness on the “Save the water theme”. It also created awareness on use of recycled plastic. The AYUSH department organised health checkup camps, which were attended by hundreds of pedestrians. The stages for music and dance were surrounded with hundreds of enthusiastic people. Songs and dances entertained the audience for long hours.
