PNS

The State Government on Tuesday asked officials to file criminal cases against those people, organisations and transport agencies that hinder mineral transportation and thereby stand on the way of economic progress of the State.

Chief Secretary GC Pati issued this direction through video-conferencing to all concerned district Collectors and SPs at a meeting held at the State Secretariat. Remarking that soft attitudes towards Bandhs and transport mafia create such problems, Pati asked them to keep vigil on them.

Pati specifically asked Jajpur and Jagatsinghpur Collectors and SPs to take stringent action against those people who disrupted mineral transportation.

Steel and Mines Secretary Raj Kumar Sharma told newsmen that the enforcement system at State-level has been strengthened. He said e-Tendering system has started to bring transparency in mineral transportation system.

Among others, Development Commissioner UN Behera, DGP Sanjeev Marik and Additional Chief Secretary Finance R Balakrishnan were present.
