The locals on Friday unearthed a newborn premature girl child (female foetus) that was kept on a roadside at Nasadipur village. Several cut marks were on the premature girl child’s body. Though the locals took the newborn to the District Headquarters Hospital, she died there while undergoing treatment.
Kendrapara Town police after getting information conducted an inquiry and registered a case.According to police sources, it might be a case of an unwed mother who might have terminated pregnancy and left the newborn on the roadside to escape public scorn. It could also be that the parents of the baby not wanting a girl might have abandoned it.
