The Forward Bloc (FB) on Saturday demanded CBI probe into the land scam as well as the multi-crore mining scam in the State. Besides, it wanted that the family of Pradeep Behera, who was killed in the police firing in Nayagarh district, be paid Rs 10 lakh as compensation soon.
The party made these demands at its State Executive Committee meeting held here. Besides, it also resolved to resort to agitations to press for their demands in coming days.
Among others, party State joint convenor Jyoti Ranjan Mohapatra, farmer leader Narendra Mohapatra, Pitabasa Mohanty, Sushant Parida, FB Youth league’s State convenor Jitendriya Behera, Chattra Bloc State Convenor Jnananana Sagar Kumar Behera, B Rama Rao and Akshaya Senapati were present.
