Sudharma Naik (23) and Doli Behera (22), who had been on a fast-unto-death stir since Monday, were admitted in the Jharsuguda District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) on Wednesday after their conditions deteriorated.
Police forcibly took them to the DHH after doctors examined them. Sources said that Sudam and Doli along with some other youths had been staging the agitation at the Collectorate here alleging that they were deprived of Forester jobs in Kendu leaf department of Jharsuguda division. They have demanded that all appointments be cancelled soon.
Meanwhile, WODC Chairman Kishore Kumar Mohanty met the agitators and assured them that he would discuss the matter with Forest Minister and a proper enquiry would be made. Earlier Brajrajnagar MlA Radharani Panda also met the agitators and assured to raise the matter at an appropriate forum.
