The BJP Kisan Morha organised a farmer awareness programme displaying related photos and news report clippings at the Ram Temple here on Wednesday. Party vice-president Sameer Mohanty inaugurated the event.
Farmers from different districts participated in the event. The photos and news clippings on farmer suicides and crop damages and failures of the State Government were displayed. BJP Kisan Morcha State president Shibaji Mohanty called upon farmers to take advantage of various welfare schemes, including Sinchai and Crop Insurance schemes, adopted by the Narendra Modi Government at the Centre.
Farmers wrote their views and comments underneath the photos and newspaper clippings. Among others, former Kisan Morcha president Maheshwar Sahu, vice-president Surath Biswal, secretary Rabi Narayan Mohapatra, treasurer Shankarshan Sahoo, Ajay Pradhan, Pradeep Sahu, Manas Das and party State secretary lekhashree Samantsinghar were present.
