A dentist committed suicide on Friday by hanging himself after losing his mental balance due to a family feud. His wife too made an attempt to commit suicide. Police have started an investigation at the spot.
The incident occurred at Balarampur village under Kendrapada Town police station. The deceased doctor has been identified as ManojBasantia (38), who was working as a dentist in Jajpur district, whereas his wife has been identified as KalyaniBasantia.
Kendrapada town police seized the body and sent it for autopsy to the District Headquarters Hospital. As per the preliminary inquiry, it has been found that Manoj and his wife had developed psychiatric problems and the former made suicide attempts earlier too.
Meanwhile, the family members of the deceased doctor alleged that the wife of the deceased has a big role on the suicide of their son. The police are waiting for the autopsy report for further investigation.
