Eyes of deceased lawyer laxmidhara Mohapatra, who was killed by some unidentified miscreants in Puri on October 18, were donated to the Eye Bank by their family members at the Capital Hospital here.
Mohaptra’s father Harihar Mohapatra and son Shubhadatt Mohapatra were present at the time of donation.
Sudarshan Das, Tanmay Mahapatra and Ganshyam Mahapatra of the RSS, Viswa Sambad Kendra secretary Sumant Panda, Hindu Jagaran Samukhya State general secretary Ajit Patnaik, Adhivakta Parishad State general secretary Gyan lok Mohanty, VP Kailash Chandra Kar, Bhubaneswar district general secretary Rabi Nanda, Bhubaneswar Bar Association secretary Tapas Ranjan Dash, High Court Bar Association member Jitendra Nayak, State Administrative Tribunal (SAT) Bar Association president Rabi Patnaik, Bharatiya Bhasa Abhijan State assistant coordinator Srimant Samantraya, Satyabrata Mohanty paid floral tributes to Mohapatra.
It might be mentioned here that Mohapatra was attacked by some unknown miscreants while he was refueling his vehicle at a petrol pump at the Hospital Square on October 18. With critical injuries, Mohapatra was admitted to the Puri District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) and later was shifted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar where doctors declared him dead.
Post-mortem was conducted on the body at the Capital Hospital.
