The BSF and the Narayanpatna police during a joint operation seized some explosives and other Maoist materials on Friday early morning.
Sources said that the BSF jawans of Podapadar camp and the Narayanpatna police were conducting a combing operation in Dekapadu Walkapai jungle under Narayanpatna police limits, when the team stumbled upon the explosives and Maoist articles which had been stocked in the jungle. The items in the seizure included two pressure bombs, one grenade, two pairs of shoes and a pair of Maoist uniform in the jungle, BSF sources said.
Combing will be intensified in all jungles of Narayanpatna area and the BSF is ready to face any untoward situation, officials informed.
