On the basis of intelligence input which was indicating that some suspected persons in green uniform of Maoists’ command Anmol alias Samarjee’s group were moving under Gurundia Police Station area, a search operation was conducted.
The DVF personnel of Rourkela Police and 19 Battalion of CRPF conducted the raid in the area at wee hours of Sunday (at about 3 O’clock midnight). While searching, the security personnel noticed an electric wire lying on the ground. later, two steel cans filled with explosives (land mine) about 5 kg each, besides 40 meter electric wire connected with IED, were seized.
