The Excise Commissioner on Friday suspended an Excise Inspector here as liquor was found from his office chamber and bathroom during an inquiry.
Excise Inspector Pradip Sahu faced the axe for his suspicious activities during lockdown, said Excise Superintendent Basanti Prava Nayak.
Sahu was found guilty in the inquiry that was conducted by the Tehsildar of Kendrapada.
According to sources, while the State Government has sealed all the liquor shops in the State in the ongoing Covid-19 lockdown, taking the advantage, Sahu was allegedly indulged in illegal stocking and selling of liquor.
