All India Congress Committee (AICC) secretary and former Rajya Sabha member Rama Chandra Khuntia on Saturday met AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi and apprised him about the Congress organisation in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and the different programmes undertaken against demonetisation in the two States.
Khuntia also informed Gandhi that by March 30, 2017, all district, block and booth committees would be formed in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Though the BJP and the BJD are using power and money, the Congress would do well in the ensuing three-tier panchayat elections in Odisha, Khuntia told Gandhi.
All Central labour organisations would hold demonstrations against demonetisation before all district headquarters in Odisha on January 28, said Khuntia to the AICC vice-president.
