Ex-Jajpur MP Jena quits BJD

Former Jajpur MP Mohan Jena on Thursday quit the BJD expressing resentment over ticket allotment for the forthcoming polls.

Jena resigned from the primary membership of the BJD by sending a letter to party supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

“I have been ignored by the party and they have not included me in any events or activities organised in these years. In fact, I have not even been offered a mere chair at CM’s events. The party is being controlled by an IAS officer and has no concern for the State,” Jena told reporters, who was denied a ticket this year.

Notably, the BJD has nominated Sharmistha Sethi as its candidate for the Jajpur Lok Sabha seat this time.
