The Odisha Retired Diploma Engineers’ Association has demanded that the State Government issue a notification to pay pension and salary to retired and existing Government employees from January 1, 2016 as per the 7 th Pay Commission recommendations.
The association on Friday resolved to place this demand at its executive meeting held under president Bipin Bihari Nayak here.
“The Union Government, through a notification, has announced to pay the enhanced pension and salary along with arrear money from January 1, 2016 to its employees in August. In view of this, we request the State Government to pay the enhanced pension and arrear from January 1, 2016,” said Nayak and general secretary Biswanath Panda.
