Odisha has witnessed big fathers getting ashamed of the activities of their sons. Take the instances of former DGP Bidya Bhusan Mahanti and former law Minister Raghunath Mohanty.
Both the Mohantys have paid heavy prices for the misdeeds of their sons. While Bitihotra brought shame for Bidya Bhusan, the alleged acts of Raghunath’s son Rajashree cost his father a berth in the State Cabinet.
Naturally, people felt pity on the two prominent fathers who had earned name and fame for their lifelong hard works.
However now, in a turn of event, a father has shamed his son. This was evident when Dr lalit Parida appeared before public in connection with the case of the murder of his mother Ushasree.
lalit, the only son of retired Army doctor Somanath Parida and Ushasree, rushed here from Dubai, his place of work, after getting information about the killing of his mother. And lalit was told that the killer was none other than his father, who, because of military career, had ironically taught him discipline in life.
The teachings of his father, in fact, made him a doctor and a successful man in life. However, all of a sudden, he found as if his God has failed and allegedly turned a demon!
The feelings of lalit were evident on the television screen. When he went to the Nayapally police station here, he wore a mask, obviously to hide his face from people. The son of a retired Army doctor was certainly ashamed of the alleged misdeeds of his father.
lalit’s agony was compounded further when DCP Nitinjit Singh told him that the death of his mother was an outcome of a coldblooded murder. And all the evidences seemed to be stacked against his father.
And lalit has double shock; first he lost the mother, and second, his father turned out to be the alleged killer and is in jail! Unable to cope with the terrible situation, he preferred to cover his face even though he has not committed any crime.
