All 17 wards of the Banki NAC have been declared open defecation-free (ODF).
The NAC held a meeting at the Town Club on Saturday to mark the achievement with Banki MlA Pravat Tripathy, Housing and Urban Development Joint Secretary Sibanarayan Sahoo, Director of Municipal Administration Sangramjit Nayak and Banki Sub-Collector Arun Kumar Biswal present as chief guest, chief speaker and guests of honour, respectively.
The meeting was presided over by NAC Chairman Akshya Kumar Pradhan. NAC Executive Officer Satyabrata Mantri introduced the guests.
On the occasion, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in a Twitter congratulated the people of Banki and advised them to keep up the status and ensure a “Clean, Green and Healthy Banki”.
