In a tragic incident, an engineering student drowned in the Burla power channel near the Vishnu Mandir Ghat on Saturday evening.
The deceased, identified as Srinibas Barik, was a fourth year student of the Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) and hailed from Salepur of Cuttack district. The police registering an unnatural death case sent the body for postmortem and started investigation.
