A joint eviction team demolished encroachments at the Saheed Nagar Haat here on Tuesday.
During the drive, the team consisting of BDA and BMC officials and the Commissionerate of Police cleared 19 shops made with bamboos, eight AC-sheeted shops and seven wooden cabins.
A platoon of gents APR Force, a section lady force and OSSF personnel were deployed to maintain law and order during the eviction. BDA Enforcement Officer Pramod Patro, liasioning Officer Subhransu Sekhar Mohanty, BMC Enforcement Assistant Commissioner Mulla Mahamad Aliwere present. The eviction drive was conducted successfully without any opposition.
